TENANG, 23 JANUARY, 2011: Bakri MP, Er Teck Hwa desribes the chances of Normala Sudirman to win the Tenang by-election is 30%-70%.
Teck Hwa said, "the chances are low (to win), because Barisan Nasional (BN) have the experience in courting voters especially by using money as baits."
"If BN stop using money in their campaigns, then the chances for Normala, PAS and Pakatan Rakyat to snap Tenang from BN is more open," he added.Talking about his experience being the minority opposition MP in Johore state, Teck Hwa reveals that he find difficulties in helping people in his area especially with their welfares.
"All the fund allocated by the state goverment to Bakri is being control by Umno and we cannot use it to help the welfare of Bakri residents," Teck Hwa reveals.
When asked on the reason he managed to win the vote of Bakri residents Teck Hwa said that, "the people of Bakri vote me in the election because they have lose their patients to BN. They are already sick with BN treatments upon them."
"The major point is when the price hike were constantly being implemented, the people felt uneased about this and therefore they voted me in to be their Member of Parliament", he reasoned out.
The new roadways project that connects Bakri and Muar that were left abandoned with improper condition that brings danger to the road user is the other reason Teck Hwa singled out to be the point enables him to win the hearts of Bakri.
