Noh: Govt Programs in Tenang are Not 'Mee Segera' Projects

LABIS, 23 JANUARY, 2011: Minister for Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Datuk Seri Noh Omar said events organized by his ministry here has nothing to do with the Tenang by-election.   According to Noh who is also the MP for Tanjung Karang, it is a monthly program organized by the ministry and 15 programs like this has been implemented in other places as well. “The implementation of the program has nothing to do with the election. It is a monthly program held by my ministry,” said Noh. “I’m totally denying that this is a ‘mee segera’ project. In fact, the ministry will launch a similar program all over the country,” he added. Earlier Noh launched ‘Program Pembangunan Usahawan Muda (PPUM) Tekun Nasional’ at Dataran Labis. In the event, 124 people received a total of RM1.4 million of funding from Tekun.
