Visited Serdang Hospital just now. The ceilings of Serdang Hospital were fallen off at 12.30am today though it was only started to be used in 2005.
Luckily no one is injured. I hereby call for the Work Ministry to carry out a thorough investigation into this matter including examine the safety of the building structure and investigate whether the contractor has been using inferior materials during the construction work or else I will be raising this issue in the upcoming parliamentary sitting which is scheduled to be convened in March 2011.
【光华日报】5岁沙登医院正厅天花板坠落 10病人家属险砸伤
（吉隆坡30日讯）沙登医院正门大厅约40平方公尺的天花板，今日午夜忽然异响坠落，约10名两户家庭成员，包括一名清洁工人在天花板底下，庆幸没被砸伤，逃过一劫。
据了解，发出一阵异响后，说时迟那时快，“3大两小”的天花板应声坠落地面，距离公众所坐的椅子只有两三公尺，不少铁架、铁枝及木框悬挂半空中，凌乱不堪。
这起天花板坠落事件，是于午夜12时30分左右发生，事发时，两户家庭共有9人坐在大厅椅子，而医院清洁工人加玛在扫地，幸好所处位置不在坠落天花板底下，否则后果不堪设想。
事发后，院方马上调员清理及抢修，以便在24小时内完工，并拉起塑胶围线，阻止闲杂人进入。
加玛叙述，他在大厅抹地时，忽然听见铁枝掉落声，抬头一看，发现天花板就快坠落，吓得立即逃走，大呼险过剃头。
